| Allan's style of painting has been influenced by his many experiences of travel, although the varying light and landscapes of the Cornish coast and villages continue to inspire him. Since 2003 Allan has had his own Gallery in Rock and many of his current pieces concentrate on the local areas of Rock, Daymer Bay, Greenaway, Polzeath and Port Isaac.
